The only thing home-grown on last night's tea was the lettuce. But every now and then when it's only me for tea I like to keep it simple, very simple. I just class it as a 'posh fish-finger butty' and you can't beat one of those can you!
A fish fillet from the freezer, a fresh brown bun, a slathering of mayo and a leaf or two from the polytunnel and that's tea sorted. Minimal fuss, barely any washing up and back out to the polytunnel in the cooling evening air. There's just time for a quick re-potting of some Aubergine plants and a good watering for all the plants wilting after the heat of the day before I come in for a coffee and a sit down with the dogs cuddled up on the sofa.
Well it stops me spending :-)
