Day 175 - Shopping at Asda

Money Spent Today - £2  Vouchers/Coupons/Points Spent - £0
Money Spent in Total - £245.32
Vouchers/Coupons/Points Spent in Total - £144.25
Money left in Housekeeping Fund - £83.39

We needed some cat food (he eats tuna, so really it's 'human' food, but hey ho as it's for Ginger that makes it outside the remit of the Challenge), so while I was in Asda I took the opportunity to get Lovely Hubby some cordials.  It would have been silly not to they as were reduced to 50p a bottle.

And I was tempted by the lovely soft rolls that we get from there, two packs for £1 makes them really good value too.  Unfortunately, being Asda I had no coupons or vouchers to use so it was a cash purchase, but not a bad one at just £2.

But I like this shopping with little bits of money, and I like even more the fact that when I get home it takes only a minute or two to put all the shopping away.

  1. Good job...what is the difference between pureeing your fruit in a regular blender and a Nutribullet? Best of luck with your voting today.

    1. It's much more powerful than most blenders, can cope with whole fruits and nuts. You have minimal washing up, you simply swish the cutting blades in a bowl of soapy water and rinse. As you can drink your Nutriblast out of the cup you blended it in there is no additional cup or glass to wash either.

You also get a grinding blade with it for use in blitzing nuts etc into flour, and either blade can be used to whizz normal sugar into caster or icing sugar. So more uses than just being a smoothie blender, in fact it's more like a mini food processor.

I know exactly which way I'm going to vote, there's never been any doubt!!
